Correct operation includes:
If the rock/root is small (diameter < 1/3 of the drill bit diameter): Pause drilling, increase the drill speed, and slowly reverse the drill bit, using the spiral blades to "lift" the impurities to the surface.


If the rock/root is large: Lift the drill bit completely, manually clear the surface impurities, and then resume drilling. If the impurities are deep, reduce the drill hole diameter (use a smaller drill bit) to bypass the impurities, then expand the hole.

 

 

Q5: What should I do if soil keeps sticking to the blades of the auger when hole digger in clay?
Clay, due to its high viscosity, easily adheres to the drill blades, causing "delivery blockage." This can be addressed in three ways:
Pre-treatment: Apply an anti-stick agent (such as used engine oil or a specialized soil release agent) to the drill blade surface to reduce clay adhesion.


Operational Adjustment: Reduce the rotational speed and increase the frequency of reverse rotation (reverse 1-2 times every 30-50 cm of drilling) to shake off adhering soil.
