Industrial tractors do not rely on standardized agricultural machinery PTO as the core, and their power output shafts are often selected according to demand. They focus on driving engineering machinery and heavy-duty equipment, and are divided into the following categories according to installation position, transmission form, and function:

Divided by installation location
1. Front power output shaft (front PTO)
The most commonly used industrial PTO type is located at the front end of the vehicle.
Suitable equipment: front snow roller brush, front crusher, front hoist, small crushing equipment, vehicle mounted cleaning equipment;
Features: The power is taken from the power take-off port at the front end of the engine or gearbox, and can be independently controlled for start and stop. It is commonly used for mounting engineering attachments on the front of the vehicle.
2. Rear power output shaft (rear PTO)
Belonging to optional configuration, most basic industrial traction models directly omit the rear PTO.
A few models with rear PTO: used to drive water pumps, generator sets, small winches, and sewage cleaning equipment;
We basically do not use the agricultural national standard 540/1000rpm dual speed, and mostly customize single speed output for manufacturers.

3. Side mounted power output shaft (side PTO)
Mostly used for narrow body field industrial tractors and small towing vehicles in factory areas.
The transmission shaft extends from the side of the body, making it convenient to connect cable laying devices, small mixing devices, and small pump bodies laterally;
Small space occupation, suitable for narrow working conditions in workshops and warehouses.
Classified by transmission control logic
1. Independent PTO
PTO power has a separate clutch mechanism, which does not affect the rotation of the output shaft when the vehicle starts and stops, and can be switched on and off separately.
Commonly used for equipment that requires continuous operation: water pumps, generators, hydraulic pump stations.
2. Coaxial linkage PTO
The power is directly taken from the main transmission of the rear axle, and the speed of the transmission shaft follows the rotation of the wheels. The vehicle moves and stops, and cannot be disconnected separately.
Simple structure and low cost, commonly used for simple hoisting and towing small construction aids, and commonly used in industrial low-end models.
3. Constant speed and constant output PTO
The mainstream form of industrial tractors has a fixed speed that cannot be switched gears, with a factory set single speed (usually lower than agricultural 540rpm, leaning towards low-speed high torque), and no multi speed regulation.
The 540/1000rpm dual speed switching structure is rarely equipped with agricultural machinery.
Divided by spline interface and standard attributes
1. Non standard specialized PTO
The vast majority of industrial tractors come standard with their own specifications for the number of spline teeth and outer diameter, which are only compatible with our factory's supporting engineering tools and cannot be used as standard agricultural tools.
Thickened shaft diameter and spline to enhance impact and overload resistance, suitable for harsh working conditions such as gravel and jamming.

2. Compatible with agricultural national standard PTO (very rare)
Some dual-use tractors (agricultural and industrial dual-use) will use a 6-key/21 key national standard agricultural PTO, which can temporarily mount agricultural machinery and is not standard for pure industrial models.
Special power take-off equivalent power output (often classified as PTO power take-off)
Power take-off PTO on the transmission side
The power take-off interface is led out from the side of the gearbox housing, and the external transmission shaft drives the air compressor, hydraulic pump, and small reducer, which belongs to the classic power take-off method of engineering vehicles.
Belt wheel power output
The engine end is equipped with an external pulley, which relies on belt transmission to output power. It belongs to a simple and old-fashioned output method, used to drive generators, water pumps, and crushers. It does not have a rigid transmission shaft and strictly speaking does not belong to PTO shafts, but is a common power output form of industrial tractors.
