Width: This refers to the width of the rock rake that can be covered in a single operation. The width is generally selected based on the tractor's power and operational requirements. A wider width increases operational efficiency but also requires a higher tractor's pulling capacity.

Working Depth: This refers to the maximum depth the tines of the farm raking machine can penetrate into the soil. This depth can be adjusted based on soil conditions and rock depth to ensure effective rock removal.

When purchasing a rake, consider your own farmland conditions, the supporting agricultural machinery (such as a tractor), and operational needs.

Pay special attention to the following parameters:

Harrow Width

Farm raking machine should match the tractor's power: 15-30 horsepower (small tractors) are suitable for a 1.2-2 meter rake width; 50-100 horsepower (medium-to-large tractors) are suitable for a 2.5-4 meter rake width.

This avoids "a small horse pulling a large cart" (insufficient power, resulting in low efficiency) or "a large horse pulling a small cart" (wasting power).

Tine Material and Spacing

Material: Heat-treated manganese steel is preferred (high hardness, wear resistance, suitable for long-term soil breaking). For light-duty raking, ordinary spring steel is an option.

Spacing: For soil breaking/weeding, choose dense tines (5-10 cm) (for high fineness); for stubble gathering/hay collection, choose sparse tines (15-25 cm) (for anti-clogging and high efficiency).

The machine must support rake depth adjustment (adjusting the tine penetration depth hydraulically or mechanically to accommodate different soil types: 10-15cm for sandy soils, 8-12cm for clay soils).

Some models also feature angle adjustment (adjusting the angle between the tine and the forward direction to control soil crushing force and material collection).

Confirm the tractor's suspension/traction interface specifications (e.g., "National Standard Class 1/Class 2" for a three-point hitch, and the drawbar connection aperture) to avoid installation problems.
