Overview of Uzbekistan's agriculture-Uzbekistan is an ancient irrigated agricultural country, and agriculture is a traditional industry. Agricultural output accounts for 25-30% of GDP, and exports account for 60% of foreign exchange earnings, holding an important position in the national economy. The non-state-owned sector dominates the agricultural industry, accounting for over 99%.
Uzbekistan has 22.37 million hectares of agricultural land, including 4.034 million hectares of arable land and 12.85 million hectares of pasture.

In recent years, the country's grain output has remained at around 6-6.5 million tons, with wheat and rice being the main products. Uzbekistan is also an important fruit and vegetable producer in Central Asia, producing approximately 2.5 million tons of fruits and vegetables and 4 million tons of various vegetables annually.
Uzbekistan has a long history of livestock farming, primarily producing wool and meat, and producing and exporting large quantities of lambskins. It currently has the second-largest sheep population in the world. Sericulture is well-developed, ranking sixth globally.
Uzbekistan is the world's fifth-largest cotton producer and second-largest exporter, with an average annual cotton (seed cotton) production of 3.5 million tons, and cotton accounting for approximately 40% of its agricultural output. Regarding cooperation in agricultural machinery, Chinese agricultural machinery is the biggest advantage compared to those from Europe and the United States, offering both affordability and high quality.
Uzbek farmers typically operate on a small scale, making small-scale Chinese agricultural machinery more suitable for the country's conditions.
