Mechanization levels are steadily improving:
By 2023, the national comprehensive mechanization rate for crop cultivation and harvesting will reach 74.3%. The three major staple crops, wheat, rice, and corn, will be largely mechanized, reaching 97.81%, 88.03%, and 91.67%, respectively.
Mechanization levels in livestock and aquaculture, agricultural product processing, and facility agriculture are also continuing to rise.
For example, the mechanization rates for rice sowing, rapeseed sowing and harvesting, potato sowing and harvesting, and cotton harvesting have reached 64.95%, 45.74%, 58.27%, 33.54%, 37.09%, and 76.45%, respectively.

The structure of agricultural machinery and equipment continues to improve:
By 2023, the national agricultural machinery and equipment inventory will reach nearly 200 million units, with a total power of 1.137 billion kilowatts, covering 32 major categories, 72 subcategories, and over 4,000 products.
A number of landmark complete equipment have achieved breakthroughs. High-end intelligent agricultural machinery, such as 300-horsepower continuously variable transmission tractors, pneumatic high-speed precision seeders, and processing tomato harvesters, have entered mass production.
Domestically produced six-row baling cotton pickers, high-speed rice transplanters, and 12 kg/second grain combine harvesters have surpassed foreign models in market share. Hilly agricultural machinery, such as tractors for 6-15 degree hilly terrain, mountain corn planters, and Chinese medicinal herb harvesters, has been successfully deployed on the front lines.
The agricultural machinery industry is thriving:
By 2023, there will be over 2,200 agricultural machinery enterprises above designated size nationwide, with core business revenue of 242.8 billion yuan.
Over 300 enterprises in the agricultural machinery sector have generated over 100 million yuan in revenue, and 117 national-level "little giants" specializing in specialized, high-quality, and innovative technologies have been designated.
Leading companies such as Weichai Lovol and China First Tractor have comprehensive product lines and strong market competitiveness, having already entered the top echelon of global agricultural machinery companies.
Some small and medium-sized enterprises have leveraged their advantages of "specialization, precision, and innovation" to focus on niche markets, developing strong core competitiveness and a high market share.

Socialized agricultural machinery service organizations continue to develop:
Nationwide, there are 195,600 agricultural machinery service organizations, with 49.93 million people employed in agricultural machinery.
Agricultural machinery cooperatives cover nearly 960 million mu (approximately 166,000 acres) of land, with cross-regional agricultural machinery operations reaching 315 million mu (approximately 166,000 acres), generating 482.9 billion yuan in agricultural machinery service revenue.
Socialized agricultural machinery service models are constantly expanding, with production outsourcing, order-based services, and cross-regional operations flourishing, expanding across all sectors and links of the agricultural industry.
Strengthening agricultural machinery safety supervision services:
Working with relevant departments, we will promote the implementation of agricultural machinery safety supervision responsibilities, vigorously promote special rectification in the field of agricultural machinery safety, and consolidate the multi-departmental collaborative agricultural machinery safety supervision mechanism.
We have formulated the "2024 Agricultural Machinery Safety Production Work Points and the Annual Work Plan for the Three-Year Action Plan to Address the Root Causes of Agricultural Machinery Safety", organized the formulation of standards for determining major accident hazards in agricultural machinery safety production, and guided local governments to investigate and rectify major accident risk hazards.
The agricultural machinery safety production situation continues to be stable and positive.
