2024 Egypt International Agricultural Exhibition (SAHARA Expo 2024)
Exhibition Introduction:
Organized by Informa Markets, the Sahara Expo in Egypt has successfully held its 35th edition. Founded in 1987, it is the most influential agricultural exhibition in Africa and the Middle East, attracting exhibitors and buyers from major countries around the world, including Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas.

Exhibiting companies primarily specialize in agricultural machinery, fertilizers, pesticides, and greenhouse irrigation. China and Egypt are both major fertilizer and agricultural countries.
In recent years, both countries have made significant progress in agricultural infrastructure, equipment manufacturing, and technology promotion, creating potential for mutually beneficial development.
For example, Egypt's abundant phosphate resources can provide China with high-quality phosphate fertilizers, while China's remarkable achievements in agricultural modernization can provide Egypt with development experience and supporting facilities suitable for Egypt's agricultural development.
In 2023, a total of 32,000 professional buyers from 43 countries and regions, including the UAE, Iran, Turkey, South Africa, and Spain, visited the exhibition. Countries such as Jordan, Italy, Russia, Poland, Lebanon, and the Netherlands hosted national pavilions, significantly enhancing the international presence of the exhibition.

The professional trade visitors and users, including retailers, wholesalers, importers and exporters, buyers, and agricultural developers, came from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the UAE, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Turkey, Egypt, the UK, the US, Spain, and Italy. 79% of the visitors came from Egypt and North Africa, and 21% from the Middle East and Europe.
The largest and most popular exhibits at the exhibition were agricultural machinery, agricultural irrigation products, greenhouses, and fertilizers, accounting for 70% of all exhibits. my country happens to be a major producer of these products. It can be said that participating in agricultural exhibitions in developed countries is an opportunity for Chinese manufacturing enterprises to learn and introduce advanced technologies; while participating in agricultural exhibitions in developing countries is a good opportunity for Chinese enterprises to export products in the face of the vast African and Middle Eastern markets.
