Structure and Principle

Structure: It usually consists of components such as disc blades, a plow frame, a suspension frame, and a tail wheel. Some disc ploughs are also equipped with scrapers on the front of the disc blades to enhance the covering performance.

Working Principle: When the tractor pulls the disc plough forward, the discs rotate around their central axes. The edges of the discs cut into the soil, and the plowed soil rises along the concave surface of the rotating discs and turns over to the side and rear, leaving furrows after plowing.

Classification

Ordinary Disc Plough: The disc rotation plane is inclined to the ground, with both a deflection angle and an inclination angle. It can be divided into one-way and two-way types. The two-way disc plough can make the soil always turn to one side of the field, and the plowed surface is flat without ridges.

Vertical Disc Plough: The disc rotation plane is perpendicular to the ground surface, with only a deflection angle and no inclination angle. It is mainly used for shallow plowing and stubble removal, and can also be equipped with seed boxes and fertilizer boxes for combined plowing, sowing, and fertilization operations.

Driven Disc Plough: Driven by the power take-off shaft of the tractor, the discs rotate at a speed of about 120 revolutions per minute, with better soil-turning and soil-breaking effects, and are suitable for plowing wetland and rice stubble fields.

Application Characteristics

Strong Adaptability: It is suitable for hard soils such as those with dense roots, high viscosity, and many stones. It can effectively cut off crop stems and weeds, and is not prone to grass entanglement, blockage, or soil accumulation.
