Hydraulic Drive Head

Auger Rod Assembly

The spiral blades wrapped around the drill pipe cut the soil and transport it up the pipe to the surface. Parameters such as blade shape, pitch, and width are carefully designed to meet diverse drilling requirements. The drill bit is mounted at the end of the drill pipe and directly contacts the soil. Depending on the geological conditions, different drill bits can be selected, such as standard spiral bits, reinforced tooth bits, and alloy bits, to improve drilling efficiency and quality.

Power Transmission: The excavator's hydraulic system powers the auger. Hydraulic oil is delivered via a pipeline to the auger's hydraulic drive head, driving the hydraulic motor. This power is then transmitted to the auger shaft via a gear reduction gearbox, causing it to rotate at high speed.

Drilling: As the auger shaft rotates, the excavator's boom and arm control the feed motion of the auger shaft, gradually driving the drill bit into the soil. The auger blades cut the soil as they rotate, transporting the resulting debris upward along the blades. When the debris reaches the top of the drill shaft, it automatically falls to the ground, achieving continuous soil discharge and completing the drilling operation.
